As a reasonable approach, This should be implemented at the beginning of the next school year. that would make sense.

The school should have just waited to implement the new policy effective the next new school year!

I wasnt bashing teachers, fact of the matter is they changed policy on a friday and offices were closed. Most of the parents are up and working before school even starts, as for the stupid ass comments about kids getting free ****, well you stupid ass can go protest mcdonalds, evidently you have never had a situation arise where your kids were put in the middle of something they have nothing to do with, so when that happens I will be the first one to laugh my ass off and make sure your kids are put down and blamed for stuff they have ZERO control over. Listen to the news, go ahead, but I know first hand that kids that were qualified for free lunch were also denied lunch. Cant wait for someone to REFUSE to feed your kids, because the person in charge of their safety decides a day or two in advance that you owe them money and they wont accept it til monday when you cant make it there. That will be funny as hell. That*****school system over there is a joke anyway

I knew it was only a matter of time before some uneducated idiot tried to bash teachers. What the heck do teachers have to do with the lunch bills?!?! Those kids should have been protesting the fact that they will not be getting a quality education next year not that they didn't get a free taco!! I believe that district already serves 3 meals during the school day and 2 of them are free. Yes, a few more business days should have been given to pay up charges but you're going to try to blame everyone everyone else?!?! GET REAL! Now, I've got to go over to mcdonalds to protest because they should give my kids free Happy Meals

Does the phrase "no free lunch" mean anything?

Ok first off my child goes, and when they call you at 7pm, on Friday by a recording to tell you there new policy and the office is closed and your suppose to have it payed Monday morning could you please tell me HOW !!! So when my child calls me telling me there protesting and i find out why i call the Board to see whet she owes and they tell me 9.60 cents and that was charged in the last week so i never got a bill ,, than WHY was she denied a lunch if the limit is 25.00????? ALSO there were kids denied that had free lunch and were NEVER feed. So now if you dont feed your child at home this is neglect , but the school can refuse to feed them and thats OK ,, NO ITS NOT ,, Maybe if i did not KNOW the truth of the matter and just went by what was being seen and heard i may say parents fault but since my child was one that was refused to eat for a 9.60 bill i have not got yet and many of her friends also who have free and reduced lunch were refused too , NOT PARENTS FAULT!!

Why is it the school's fault when kids / parents that were delinquent in paying for lunches that the school allowed the kids to eat (on credit) weren't permitted to continue to receive additional lunches (on credit)? A big problem in society is that many people don't take responsibility for their actions (or in this case lack of necessary action) to avoid undesirable consequences and then blame others for the those consequences. The parents of the younger kids need to take the appropriate action so their kids can eat lunch at school and stop blaming the school when their kid doesn't get a school lunch due to THEIR delinquency. As for the older kids (that can work part time) if their parents aren't giving them lunch money it seems to me that they should be able to use some of their money to pay for their school lunch or pack a lunch.

I dont give two ***** what policy is. I have no idea how ANY person can refuse children food. It is NOT their responsibility to pay the bill, that is what parents are for. There have been many that have stated they try to pay online but the system was down, and since it did not take effect until SUNDAY, not a work day, and this all happened on a monday, then I do believe that it is the SCHOOL that messed up. Just a*****shame to see what this world is coming too that teachers and administration have NO problem keeping food from kids, well lets hope they are the ones that get let go, see who they like having "food" taken from them.
