To offer a possible answer to the writers question, there was an absence of a 24-7 media cycle for one thing. To a person, every politician in Washington gets indignant over something given enough time. It is a zero sum game to argue for or against party labels because it is the culture of Washington. Liberals who voted for the Iraq war were indignant that no WMD's were found. It goes on and on and on. To expect anyone to clean up their game at this point is simply an unreasonable expectation.

Left out a few things, didnt you, Mr. Hord? For example, you didnt mention that for WEEKS following Benghazi, both obama and clinton repeatedly blamed the attacks on a You-tube film made by an American producer, whom they promptly had arrested by the Feds. WHERE is that producer now, Mr. Hord? You also forgot to mention that five perpetrators have been positively identified but NO ARRESTS have been made and no mention of any action against them has been made by obama, clinton, or attorney general Holder. Lastly, you forgot to include the fact that both barack obama and hillary clinton watched on TV in REAL TIME as these innocent people were sodomized, tortured, murdered, and dragged through the streets.....YOU forgot ALL of this, Mr. Hord....but I have seen live interviews with the parents and families of these innocent victims.....they arent as "forgetful" as you are, sir...and not nearly as gullible, either.

R H -

Maybe the Democrats were to dumb to realize the missteps of previous adminstrations.

If they had smelled smoke, they would have built a fire.

How funny is it that when Bush's administration did something wrong, Dems were very eager to blame him and no one else. Now that the tables have turned, the Republicans are being told they shouldn't point the finger at the man in charge. Seriously?? As far as I know, the one in charge is usually the one all the blame falls on, and that's regardless of political affiliation. Sorry, but I have to disagree with the opinion stated in this editorial...

Today's GOP has no interest in governing and cares almost nothing for the vast majority of the American people.

Michele Bachmann's droping out of politics is better than being voted out. She won by a slim 1.2% margin and knew she would be voted out in 2014. Why? She has done NOTHING for anybody , except Herself.

president bush was in office only since jan.2001 or only 8 months before 9-11`! clinton killed many of our men when blackhawk went down and he refused to send help,it runs in the family because the women that stood by her man did not stand by four americas that got killed because of her neglect, and how about foster, dead too!!!!!! clinton held signs in england opposing our soldiers and like jane fonda is a traitor in my eyes!!!!!! GET A LIFE HORD,YOU ARE A LOUD MOUTH THAT WANTS ATTENTION LIKE A LITTLE CHILD.KEEP GOING TO COUNCIL MEETING AND MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF

Interesting to see the comments by both BCF and Oluh----NEITHER even mentions the word Benghazi!!!.....just some babble about a Republican who is retiring and another worn out one-liner attacking the opposing party....maybe you boys should READ the letter!... maybe there is just NO DEFENSE for murder, treason and mass fraud. 52% of you folks had soon better learn the difference between a DEMOCRAT and a common criminal with a "D" after their name on the ballot. Many are on to them....many more to come.

The Benghazi "scandal" only exists in the Fox "News" universe. Come out of your bubble, Republicans.

Can you honestly say that we have been given the truth, all the facts, and we're told the absolute truth from day one ????????????? If you are truly honest and forthright, the clear answer is NO!!!!! I do not blame the Obama administration for the attack. I am not even certain lives could have been saved BUT no action was taken to Ttempt to save these four individuals and the President and Secretary of State were completely missing in action that entire evening. Fact. Secondly, everyone in the administration knew from day one that it was not caused by a video but still tried to sell that message to the American people when they knew it to be false. Sadly, it was a political decision and not a decision of action from this administration.Shameful !!!!!!!!

Hey BCF.....how about delivering that line to the parents and relatives of these victims???...and just as an aside, your "pen name" suggests that you oppose criminal activity from politicians, so maybe change your handle to ObamaCrimeFamily???....its much more timely....and a lot more accurate.

OLUH and BCF's one and two sentence blurbs are the limit of what they can put out at one time. Beyond that they reveal their true radical progressive nature. They have the prescription for everyone else if only people would listen. And obey.

73% of Americans say the economy is more important than any "scandals" facing Obama in the latest reminder that the GOP is still not helping fix the economy.

I always wondered where a person would find time to talk with 73% of all Americans.....of course, I have always wondered about all of these "polls" and "surveys" in view of the fact that neither myself, nor anyone I know in my family, workplace or anywhere else has ever been contacted or "polled" about anything!!....I suspect you get your "poll" numbers where oblunder gets his...from the hindquarters of a horse!BTW--Obama needs no help to fix the economy....he promised to fix it in 3 years in 2008, or vowed NOT to seek a second term...another in a big stack of lies.

A SAD FACT: This past week marked the 45th anniversary of the murder of Bobby Kennedy. At the time (1968) RFK was viewed as a liberal, even though he was an NRA member and a firm anti-communist.....today, those two factors alone would have him tossed aside by his own "party"....not only because times have changed for the WORST, but because Judas is the patron saint of liberal politics.
