What you say is true. We have a duty to save as many people as possible from Satan's work on earth. Our work will get harder not easier. Ultimately if we believe the Bible then we must accept that earth is Satans domain until Christ returns. In that regard we cannot be surprised by events that unfold until that time comes. The challenge will be continuing the work in the face of growing adversity.

You don't need religion to have morals. If you can't determine right from wrong, then you lack empathy, not religion.

To the crazy man that typed this nonsense I ask: If there is evil in the world and god can't do anything about it, then he is not all powerful. If there is evil in the world and god won't do anything about it, then he is malevolent. Then why does evil exist? Don't blow this off, answer the question.

In the last paragraph Randy said "He has tried so hard to get through to us." Like he did in the 1918 flu pandemic that killed upwards of 20 million people. The cool thing about that is Barack Obama hadn't been born yet, and the Russian revolution was only a year old. LOL--this screws old turley up.

Really? God killed all those people in the twin towers? So you are saying that the terrorists were really agents of God? So why are we tracking down and killing agents of God (terrorists)? They are agents of Allah, the God that other religious wing-nuts believe in. One mans God is another mans devil. I'm Catholic and went to Catholic school for many years. Never did I ever hear a Priest or Nun explain that God would kill so many to get his point across. What we are living through right now is the result of Americans putting their faith in politicians without keeping an eye on what they were doing. This lax attitude began right after WW2, when Americans were living in the euphoria of a big military victory, a vigorous economy and a sense that everybody loved us. We allowed our enemies to infiltrate our government, our schools, our media, every aspect of our society. All we can do now is to ask God to forgive us for OUR mistakes, not to ask God if he/she would stop punishing us.

We are not being punished by God because our Government will not promote God. We are suffering the consequences of many years of poor choices by the citizens, has nothing to do God.

Watch the stupid Texas republicans slowly bleed themselves to death over abortion. Their inept and stupid Governor is a blessing for Democrats. By 2050 white people will be a minority in this country. Bye Bye Rick Perry, turley, promo, and thoughtful.

Wow....just wow....I'm amazed at how much hate has been spewed throughout these comments. I'm probably more amazed at the fact that, for the first time, I kind of agree with BCF. I, too, believe you don't need religion to have morals. Growing up with an extremely hypocritical mother, I grew to disbelieve in my Baptist upbringing due to her contradictions. So I guess I can't fully agree with the writer of this editorial. It's sad to know that there are people out there who honestly believe God would inflict pain, fear and destruction upon us to get a point across. Seriously?? That in itself is a huge contradiciton from a man who claims to be loving and perfect. I am a firm believer that what you put in comes back to you. As a nation, we've been putting in some pretty nasty stuff (along with some good, of course), so we can't be surprised when things start going wrong. Ever hear of Karma? Anyway, I'm not going to join in the demeaning banter, but I did wanna state my opinion=

I believe Mr. Marple is correct. It is a shame that we have people in our society like BCF & OLUHJNB, it is no wonder, with attitudes like this, that we have the drugs and crime to contend with. Look at what our society is demanding, what our government is stuffing down our throats. Bishop Sheen, who has since passed away, made a statement long ago that is very apropos to our society now. "When the ABNORMAL becomes the NORM Satan is in our midst" Eleven words that says volumes if you really think about it. And yes, Religion and honoring GOD is where we have to return before this country will ever heal itself. When 911 occurred the churches were filled for a short time? I hope we can fill them for the right reason and not for another calamity.

So next time a bunch of babies are killed at a elementary school or a crazed bomber blows up a city street or terrorist start lighting wildfires in the west. Do God a favor. Leave him alone America.

The man that wrote this needs mental help. I can't believe he says that god kills babies to get our "attention.
