I'm already enjoying higher speeds: I drove to Colorado with 75-mph limits much of the way. Of course it's long overdue in Ohio: our rural interstate fatality rate is 0.54 -- FAR, FAR lower than the the 1.50 to 3.87 rates on other rural roads. Any observant driver would guess this: eliminating intersections, opposing traffic lanes, roadside obstacles and sharp curves improves fuel efficient, safety, and travel times -- that's why we build interstates!
