Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.

BCF and I finally agree on something! There is a special place in the paradise of the hereafter for those who have given their hearts, minds, talents and sweat to support themselves and those they love while making America a better place. They have a special pride to which they are surely entitled. God Bless the American worker---there may be less of them these days, but there are NONE better!

How quaint that turley. He tosses his opinions out as the gospel truth. Forbes Magazine ranks Denmark as having the most qualified workforce. The USA is ranked 4th. Nice work gasbag.

Great Lincoln quote. It is hard to imagine him being part of a government that would presume to decide how much fruit of labor it believes it has a right to take.
