Amen to the truth, Irishfan!!! You hit the nail on the head. The sad part is, probably no one even reads these comments.

I am sick and tired of reading glowing reviews for EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT YOU REVIEW. There are truly only a handful of great eateries in the Ohio Valley. I seriously hope the Editor of this newspaper realizes that his restaurant reviewers have NO credibility with their readers simply due to the fact that they are not providing TRUE reviews. This is one example of why this newspaper has no credibility and few readers. Typos gallore, poorly written articles, serious lack of investigative journalism and a fear of being downright honest.

CONT' I told the BUDS that if they cant be honest with the reviews, than they may want to stop what they are doing.Yeah, i tried a few of their so called good places to eat..Would have done better eating out of a garbage can. They told my friend they didnt want to give a BAD comment on the food the try, because they didnt want to hurt the OWNERS feelings.Gee, i have an idea,, GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS...

I think the Buds need to sit down and think o some of the recent criticism they have encountered. You ar elosing credibility with your readers because you give a glowing report on every dish and establishment you review. Come on---service, food, and service is never always perfect. That sandwich picture clearly shows the bread to be burnt and yet that was never mentioned. No reveal was made of prices and in today's economy that is a large part of my decision to try a new place. I think if you want your opinions to be respected you need to start being more realistic and honest.

I am curious to know if the establishments that "The Buds" visit know they are there to be reviewed? Some of the pictures of the food are just not that appealing looking. The tomatoes in the pictures with this article look mushy and the bread to totally burnt on the other sandwich. Although I will admit the combos of some of the sandwiches sound tasty - if i was served that sandwich with bread that burnt it would be sent back.
