This guy needs church bc in my eyes, he is worse than a criminal. He is the very reason people have a dislike for cops. They pick and harass. They ride people's bumpers till they get nervous and swerve. It is plan sickning what cops get away with nowadays.

Overcrowding is the likely culprit. Better that he earn a living on the outside than receive a free ride inside.

I think Carpenter would have continued his ways had he not be caught. With his "holier-than-thou" disposition, I cannot imagine how many times he may have violated the rights of offenders (DUI/Disorderly Conduct/etc) while he was the Chief and a patrolman. The kind of nightmarish power-hungry cop everyone fears and dreads. He should NOT have been granted early release.

Being he was a not only a police officer but the CHIEF of police he should have done double time with no parole. Sickening..A homeless guy would do more time for shoplifting food if caught three times.

Knew this would happen. So, Carpenter said he was sorry, and that was it? Sorry, an elected public official should not even come close to these kind of actions. He should have served his time like we all would have had to do! The slap on the wrist of a 6 month stay at the EOCC country club will not teach him anything except the fact that he beat the system like many crooked law enforcement officers do. He will not learn anything, and this whole situation, especially Carpenter...Makes me sick!
