Lt. Col.....I am saying this will all of the respect that I can muster, but anyone who does not expect to have to defend people he may not be in agreement with on political issues probably should not consider a military career, should they????

Mr. Merryman,

If this is a magic show that you would actually enjoy, then you are in for a real show. Because the magician is playing the audience for a fool. I absolutely love the fact that those who are anti-government have never worked in the government to include the military, but are more than willing to take a piece of the pie when it only benefits themselves. Have you ever looked in the eye of a government employee (GS-7) single father, Marine Corps reservist..... A Sergeant and told him that he was being sent home without pay. I have. When you talk about the government, please educate yourself first. I am sick of people like you that I am supposed to defend with my life.

David Sanger, former NY Times Reporter: “A memo went out from the chief of staff a year ago to White House employees and the intelligence agencies that told people to freeze and retain any e-mail, and presumably phone logs, of communications with me,” Sanger said. As a result, longtime sources no longer talk to him. “They tell me: ‘David, I love you, but don’t e-mail me. Let’s don’t chat until this blows over.’?”

Sanger, who has worked for the Times in Washington for two decades, said, “This is most closed, control-freak administration I’ve ever covered.”

Many leak investigations include lie-detector tests for government officials with access to the information at issue. “Reporters are interviewing sources through intermediaries now,” Barr told me, “so the sources can truthfully answer on polygraphs that they didn’t talk to reporters.”

and another BCF comment that places blind faith in a communist failure.....if you want to live in a country where the government dictates every facet of your daily life, there are plenty of choices and planes leaving major airports every day....BYE!

Another letter from an anti-government fool who has not stopped to consider the harm done to middle class and poor working people as a result of the GOP shutdown.
