Power staying on at Ormet

HANNIBAL - Ormet finally scored a win with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, as the shuttered aluminum producer will be able to at least keep the lights on until the end of its bankruptcy......

The aluminum industry in the US is in extreme distress. Certainly, the electric power issue was a factor at Ormet but the broader issue is foreign competition, cost of production, and the low level of price for the product. If the world adjusts, then possibly Ormet can be acquired and reopen. that would be great news. so many workers are impacted.
