@readygrad...I am not sure where you get your inside information, but I have watched many football games and there was nothing about that kick that indicated it was meant to be squibbed. The NC players were after that ball with every intent to recover it. It's easy for the NC coaching staff to make that claim after they have made classless donkeys of themselves. Even if it was a botched squib kick as you suggest, at 29-0 1/3 of the way into the 4th quarter was a squib kick even necessary? As to the no handshake post-game, our players were told to line up as they do after every game. Our coach did walk across the field. While I do not know what transpired, I wouldn't blame him at all if he was indeed the one to opt to not send our boys over to shake hands. However, I saw NOTHING to indicate NC was making any attempt to line up. You can question what kind of role models we have all you want, I will take our coaching staff over the one I watched from NC anyday.

Congratulations on a great year. However, saying NC showed no class is just wrong. There was pushing and shoving both ways, but I only saw punches from the Bellaire side. The onside kick was supposed to be a squib kick and was to prevent another long run-back from an exciting returner. And not shaking hands at the end was due to the Bellaire coaches walking off before they lined up. If I were a Bellaire parent, I would have questions about the way the kids are being coached and the role models they have on the staff. Either way, good luck next year. You're a program with a rich history and I'm sure you'll be back again.
