Koch Brothers

December 10, 2013

Dear Editor, The editorial page of The Times Leader Dec. 1, had two very contrasting items. One a letter to editor by Mr. Bill Bryant and the other a half page column by Dr. Terry Wallace. Mr....

Good observation, Quiz. Since the successful hijacking of the former Democrat party by obama, Socialists are the "new" Democrats. By contrast, TEA and many Libertarians make up the "new" Republicans. "Traditional" members of either party are either out, or soon to be out. For better or for worse, the landscape of American politics is forever changed.

Both political parties have "stinkers" amongst them. It amazes me when a Republican does something bad, the holier than thou liberals howl up a storm. I noticed several news reports over the past year where politicians have been arrested and in the reports, political party isn't mentioned. Why? Because they are democrats. All I know is for the past year every Democrat with their face in the camera said the following, "If you like your plan you can keep your plan. PERIOD!". They knew that was not true and that fact makes them all LIARS! PERIOD. So liberals, get off your high horse and look in the mirror and what you are going to see is not pretty.

I'm an American and I'm sick too, but for different reasons. Sick of an Administration with no moral compass; sick of a Congress with no backbone, sick of having my hard earned dollars taxed to the point where the American Dream is a pipe dream; sick of being told one thing by President Obama and having the opposite be true; sick of political correctness become the rule instead of the exception to the point where it weakens the security of our country; and most of all, sick of people who defend all these actions as if no harm is being done.

Corporations are forcing the socialist agenda much more than any citizens. They moved all the good jobs to countries for slave wages and as they start to trickle back ( which they are ) the are refusing to pay living wages. It truly is a shame to see a good hard working person work two different jobs and well over 40 hrs a week because the companies keep there hours under thirty to avoid giving them any benefits so the worker puts all these hours in with no overtime and no benefits. Can't even afford to keep a car running after taking care of the bills and groceries let alone purchase health care. Any one over 40 years of age knows what it used to be and any one who tries to spin it differently either wasn't around 40 years ago or is a liar. Yea I know..it's all the unions fault. Blame it on every one aside of where the blame belongs.

Campbell personifies that unique combination of ignorance and arrogance which is leading so many to believe that although socialism has failed 1000 times in 1000 places, it will somehow work well here...with Americans.....amazing!

Mr. Campball, You are incorrect. Obamacare will NOT bring quality health care to millions. Rather, it will weaken care, still leave millions uninsured, and take away them any options that millions currently have with their health care. Ther are several options that would have been much more workable and gained broad support. this law was rammed through with limited support, the key players not fully engaged, and is a mistake.

sorry Sir, you are on the wrong side of this issue.
