I have been to this shelter many times and have also adopted a number of my pets from there. This place is a*****hole for those animals. Many of the worker bees are friendly and its obvious they care about the animals. There is one or two of them that are nasty and I was told that one of them just happens to be the shelter director's relative. Imagine that. It's sad to think there is no hope fot the animals in this county who end up at this shelter. But while the shelter director's husband and 2 close friends sit on that board, things will never change. They just "yes" her to death while she is busy putting animals to death. The animals of this county deserve better. Is this any way to treat man's best friend? Stand up for these animals, people. Be their voice.

The animals suffer the most. Living in hasty conditions or being put down. So sad. I used to volunteer there. Used to. :-(

Once again, BCARL thinks they are above the law. Verna Painter...Bob Painter. Coincidence the last names are the same? I think not. They are husband and wife. How ethical is that? He handles the money we all donate. She manages the shelter. I, for one, will not be sending any money there.

to solve the issue, an independent review of the operation at random times without notice. a common practice in private industry.

Bob Painter, Vera Painter?? Hmmm........... Married? No wonder the board sees nothing wrong at the shelter. Somewhere there has to be an ethics issue with the husband on the governing board and the wife running the shelter. Hope the Commissioners see through this and decided right. It has been going on for WAY too long!!!
