OHIODEM: " They used the (Republican ) Romneycare plan as a blueprint for Obamacare to try and appease the Republicans." So much so that none voted for it. As it turns out even Dems didn't get the plan they voted for.

I don't watch Fox as I've said many times, but thanks for the characterization anyway. That's called projecting by the way. Because you get your "news" from one media outlet your limited scope of knowledge perceives that everyone else must do so as well.

Put your head in the sand. Faux news told you the polls were skewed in the last election, how did that work out for yah? The Republicans claimed the administration cooked the books on unemployment last fall. It turned out the numbers were revised after the election and were even better. Please keep watching Faux and stay ignorant.

Well duh! Peggy Noonan is a shill for the Republicons, she tells you what you want to hear. She is right about one thing Democrats would not have gone for that plan. They used the (Republican ) Romneycare plan as a blueprint for Obamacare to try and appease the Republicans. Democrats would have much preferred a single payer plan that would have taken the insurance companies out of the system. But no we have the plan tge Republicans invented as an alternative. The Republican's plan now, let the insurance companies drop you when you get sick. Let the insurance companies deny you because you are sick. It is in there to stay, get over it.

Noonan: There are very, very few Democrats who would do ObamaCare over again. Some would do something different, but they wouldn't do this. The cost of the blunder has been too high in terms of policy and politics.

They, and the president, are trying to put a good face on it.

Republicans of all people should not go for the happy face. They cannot run only on ObamaCare this year and later, because it's not the only problem in America. But it's a problem, a big one, and needs to be hard and shrewdly fought.

Noonan: There's a brute test of a policy: If you knew then what you know now, would you do it? I will never forget a conversation in 2006 or thereabouts with a passionate and eloquent supporter of the decision to go into Iraq. We had been having this conversation for years, he a stalwart who would highlight every optimistic sign, every good glimmering. He argued always for the rightness of the administration's decision. I would share my disquiet, my doubts, finally my skepticism. One night over dinner I asked him, in passing, "If we had it to do over again, should we have gone in? would you support it?"

And he said, "Of course not!"

Noonan: Finally, the program's supporters have gone on quite a rhetorical journey, from "This is an excellent bill, and opponents hate the needy" to "People will love it once they have it" to "We may need some changes" to "I've co-sponsored a bill to make needed alternations" to "This will be seen by posterity as an advance in human freedom."

Noonan, WSJ, Cont: "What the bill declared it would do—insure tens of millions of uninsured Americans—it has not done. There are still tens of millions uninsured Americans. On the other hand, it has terrorized millions who did have insurance and lost it, or who still have insurance and may lose it. The program is unique in that the bill that was signed four years ago, on March 23, 2010, is not the law, or rather program, that now exists. Parts of it have been changed or delayed 30 times. It is telling that the president rebuffed Congress when it asked to work with him on alterations, but had no qualms about doing them by executive fiat"

OhioDem, like the willing majority of media outlets, you parrot the 7 million number because Obama said it. And ONLY because he said it. It is baffling to me how this President and administration can not know the number of enrollees ALL THIS TIME, but suddenly on the last day of signups the number they said they need magically appears? Peggy Noonan of WSJ said it this way: "Support it or not, you cannot look at ObamaCare and call it anything but a huge, historic mess. It is also utterly unique in the annals of American lawmaking and government administration. The leaders of our government have not felt, throughout the process, that they had any responsibility to be honest and forthcoming about the major aspects of the program, from its exact nature to its exact cost. We are not being told the cost of anything—all those ads, all the consultants and computer work, even the cost of the essential program itself."

It's pretty remarkable actually. In spite of 100s of millons of dollars the insurance companies spent and the 100s of millions in free propoganda from Fox News gave to poison the ACA it raeched it's goal of 7 million. In spite of 50 votes to repeal the ACA and 36 Republican controlled states refusing to set up exchanges it reached it's goal of 7 million. In spite of the troubled web site roll out it reached it's goal of 7 million. Also the latest poll gives it a favorable rating. It may not sink in this year but over time the vast majority of Americans will realize the Republicans lied about the whole thing from the get go.

This train wreck laughably called "affordable" has not yet, nor ever will accomplish what it was intended. To that there is no answer.

Mr, Obama has done to his legislation what we all wanted him to do, change, wreck, destroy, and so modify it that it is laughable.

Oh Mr. Bryant, you are so nieve and downplaying Obam's lie and the actual numbers does not change the truth. In the U.S. it is my health and therefore my right to choose the health care I want, not what the gov't tells me I should have so they can pay for everone else with subsidies. If I want a "Junk Plan" as you call it, then it should be my right and my choice to pick it, not Obama telling me what to do and giving me plans that cover abortion, pre-natal and other things I DO NOT NEED, to pay for someone who does. Face the facts and the truth. OBAMACARE has never been about health care, it was designed to take over 1/6 of the economy in order to continue his redistribution of wealth cocnept that Joe the plummer naled in 2008.

One more thing, Quiz: I highly doubt Oluh will ever think for himself. He has displayed his lack of ability to do so time and time and time again. I think he accused me of being a cheerleader once because I commented that if we all worked together as a country instead of being so divided, so much more would get accomplished. If that makes me a cheerleader, give me the pom poms and the skirt!! I'm in no way suggesting that my way of thinking is the only way, but it's seriously going against the flow in this country (or mostly anyway). Heaven forbid someone be educated, positive and a team player. If our POTUS was that way, can you imagine?? Anyway, stay classy, Ohio Valley....seriously, stay classy.

I realize my posts have veered away from the topic and I apologize for the "squirrel" moments. However, being forced to buy something I neither want nor need and then force me to pay a tax if I don't sign up for it is a gross infringement on the very freedoms that were fought for a long, long time ago. For some to believe - I mean seriously BELIEVE - that the ACA/Obamacare sham (and yes, it's a SHAM!!) is the answer to all their unanswered prayers is just so terribly sad. I truly didn't think it was possible to be so naive.

Quizhat, I am all for ignoring the clinically stupid, but I take serious offense to someone trashing the country that my great grandfather, grandfather, father, husband and numerous family members and friends have fought for (and died for) over the years. If Oluh would rather live elsewhere, I am more than willing to pack his bags!! I hardly take offense to anything, but please believe I will ALWAYS defend our BRAVE military. Turley, I am aware that Oluh has no pride. After all, it's Oluh!! And Promo, thanks for the love!! #URock!!

Ruzgirl, I have a suggestion to every that posts here. On another thread oluhjnb told someone to quit reading his posts. I believe that is the answer to this buffoon. We all should "place a shroud" over oluhjnb and ignore his mindless drivel. He gets his jollies from the back and forth and if we all ignore him he will either 1. Go Away. 2. continue his downward spiral until his head explodes, or 3. Maybe, just maybe he will start to think for himself and let common sense and logic crack into that thick liberal skull and take that mush for brains and form an original thought or opinion. Liberalism is like crank cocaine, great initial high and euphoria, but afterwards is nothing but misery.

You cannot shame them, Ruz. By definition, shame is "the damaging of pride".....since they never had any pride to begin with, shaming them isnt possible....in this way, they are like their mutt idol and his tax mooching spouse.

The education level between the two main political parties is so blatently transparent. When I log in, I usually take a few minutes to read the headlines, then I scroll to the editorials. I read every single comment by all of you and, believe it or not, most of the hate and ignorance is spewed from the liberal side of the screen when they're the ones crying wolf!! It's disgusting. Oluhjnb likes to use the word "coward" in his recent comments. I would bet my last penny that he's the most cowardly of all of you (well, maybe BCF would give him a run for his money, but that remains to be seen). I put each of you to task to educate yourselves, not just in the workings of our illustrious government but also in the usage of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation!! For Pete's sake, some of you give Valley outsiders plenty of ammunition to believe that we're all stupid hillbillies!!! #StopTheMadness
