Just read in Post Gazette that More than 1,100 Consol Energy retirees will be losing their medical, prescription drug and life insurance benefits by the end of the year - cancelled by Murray Energy. I know that is within his rights as the new owner to do this; however this goes against every belief that I have. There isn't a place in H E L L hot enough for this butthead! This is just plain wrong! PERIOD!

Mr. Murray will ship his coal through the Baltimore port to Asia and Europe where it is still viable to use coal as a source of electricity and for steel making purposes.

Mr. Obama and the EPA more strict standards are not a few little stronger rules. Everyone knows that he was coal use in the US stopped. Please.

I call on ALL unions members to support the UMWA to challenge the EPA with their strict standards. I call on Rich Trumpka to use his influence with Mr. Obama if he truly wants to support working Americans in the coal industry. May we hear your voice Mr. Trumpka????????????

This action should be viewed in a much deeper light than just trying to preserve the coal industry. The issue at heart here is the continued destruction of American industry due to far reaching, intrusive regulations. The issue is to hold the EPA accountable to look at the economic impacts of regulations. The silent, uneducated masses are killing this country. People need to educate themselves and awake from their slumber to realize that we are losing this great country of ours at a very quick pace.

Bob, coal was indeed a cheaper source of energy in the past...but no more. Coal and natural gas are now about even in price according to the Energy Information Administration. The availability and record low natural gas prices are the reason for the lower demand of coal, not a few more regulations placed by the President. What was the reason for the purchase of those 5 coal mines recently if Obama was waging his "war on coal?" Just wondering, because you may want to rethink your advisors' advice. lol

Push the EPA back. Without standing up to the unreasonable and far reaching over extension of regulations, it will never stop.

Let us hope that the UMWA stand with Murray on this issues and gain full and complete support from the AFLCIO and it's leader, Rich Trumpka.

Mr. Trumpka, we await your strong and very vocal support.
