MP The governor has done an outstanding job and will be reelected as he should be. The state has provided millions of dollars for new school facilities. The local tax base should support the operation of the local schools. I support the tax and no doubt it is needed.

I have to hand it to Mr. Thoburn for an innovative idea. This must have been attempted elsewhere but it's the first time I've heard about it locally. Property taxes are already high and get beaten back every levy. This idea spreads the cost among more people. The question is; will any tax be approved by voters? I guess we'll find out if it gets to the ballot. The challenge here is getting people to understand and believe that the need really exists. I'm not saying it doesn't, but in order to pass voters have to believe it's necessary.

A boon in gas and oil jobs in the district and the life long residents get penalized with an income tax. Live within your means like everyone else. The education system is bloated and their is a lot of "fat" that could be trimmed. I received a much better education at Union Local twenty plus years ago with less resources. I wish I could have some extra help and permanent improvements to my structures. Perhaps, I will put a .5% tax on the ballot.

The governor has made it a priority to disstroy public schools. Fortunately the voters have more sense than he has.
