Yea Bridgeport made a 500.00 profit, but what about paying the village drive to follow the company to pick up the trash because he didn't know where to go. Why can't we use the community service workers and the village trucks?..seems to me would be a much larger profit for the village..

Several problems with this whole ordeal. There are several residents already putting their trash (some in large amounts) out for trash week, because they were not properly notified of the change. How come the mayor can NEVER handle criticism on any level. Every time someone calls him out, whether he is right or wrong, he has to let everybody know how they were in the wrong, and proceed to let us know how much money he has saved the village, bla bla bla. In his last memo that he issued, he stated that David Coyne was the head of the committee, yet failed to mention that in this article, I wonder why? Dave Smith has officially took the blame for this, although he never really had anything to do with it, to try and alleviate the bickering. Yet, is called out once again by the dictator. I hope the residents remember all of this when November of 2015 rolls around!

He also stated that the village employees didn't have time to participate in this years cleanup, then what in the*****are they doing?!? This place isn't that big, and they sure aren't focusing on the streets right now, so that doesn't leave too much more for their time to be consumed for 8 hours.

I have to agree with BudKilmore on his articles.

AGAIN, one sided reporting. No one from this paper contacted anyone else on this. Just his Royal Highness. HE'S the one throwing the monkey wrench in it. Just like BudKilmore stated. The dates were set. The MAYOR said the street department was too busy. Doing what?? Sweeping the road to Kirkwood Hts so the Mayor's car won't get dirty. They sure isn't fixing Howard Street from the first water break and nothing is done to fix 40 on the second. The reporter needs to talk to BOTH sides it this case instead of letting the Mayor bash others for what he is stalling and changing. But I forget, he KNOWS what he is doing. MESSING STUFF UP!!!! The next election will show you.

He claims he donates his equipment and saves the village money, but what does he pay his operator per hour out of the village funds.( His son). I heard the rate was $25.00 per hour. Now, Bridgeport owns it's own backhoe and I'm sure their operator makes no where near that amount per hour..

Since I'm on a roll now, I understand that Dave Coyne is the chairman of the Garbage and refuse committee. Why isn't he being bashed by the mayor.Dave Smith has nothing to with this decision.

Because the Mayor knows what he's doing! He trying to lay down a veil of lies and deceit. Back in the day, that might have worked. But the public knows better. The last election proved that. People did not fall for his lies, bashing, and legalities that got him nowhere. And his family that thought they could slide in where he left off. There are people in office that will hold him to the truth and the law. They watch the books and the money. His reign is limited.
