Why were they speeding? Why was the one cop following the other so closely behind? What are the names of the two officers involved? Who will pay for the damages? Who will pay when the two passengers sue the*****out of the village for their whiplash injuries? Any private citizen would be charged with following too closely, reckless operation, no seat belts, and their names would be in the newspaper. Instead, we get to hear this chief blaming his officers' behaviors on the poor guys not getting paid enough. That excuses them driving like maniacs?

Additionally, their dash camera footage should be reviewed and all appropriate traffic violations levied against the police officers. There was no emergency. In that case, there's no reason to be speeding for either one, and obviously following too closely by the rear vehicle
