He was born in Newburg on November 29, 1918, son of the late Elmer Goff and Florence (Shay) Goff.
Mr. Goff retired after several years with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Mill of Yorkville, Ohio. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Rowlesburg; and attended the Stonecoal United Methodist Church of Weston and the Hopewell United Methodist Church of Rayland, Ohio.
Mr. Goff was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Harold Goff; and three sisters, Ruby Carr, Felton, and Ethel Goff.
Mr. Goff was first married to the late Marion Rosetta (Funk) Goff. On September 25, 1988, he married Edith (Myers) Nine Goff, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Wallace Duane Goff (Dorothy) of Rayland, Ohio; three grandchildren, Terri Zeigler (Don,) Jeff Goff (Cathy,) and Richard Goff (Alisa); five great-grandchildren, Jessica Zeigler, Richard Goff, Jr., Jaycen Goff, Jeff R. Goff, Jr., and Genifer. and two step grandchildren.
Mr. Goff is also survived by three step daughters, Anna Henline (Gary,) Donna Reckart (Dale,) and Charlotte Biser (Clifford); one step son, Charles W. Nine; four step grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Wilda Bradley (Bob) of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 28, 2007 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at the Borkoski Funeral Home of 337 Jefferson Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 2-7 p.m. and services at 7 p.m.
A committal service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Holly Memorial Gardens of Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
