McGARY, Dr. Landon David

McGARY, Dr. Landon David, 35, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, in Mission Hospital Campus as a result of a motorcycle accident near Clyde, N.C. where he resided and practiced dentistry.

He was a son of David McGary and the late Debbie McGary of Flushing, Ohio.

Landon was a 1991 graduate of Union Local High School and a 1999 graduate of Case Western Reserve University and Dental Scho ol. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church where he was active with the youth. He was also a member of the Western Carolina Dental Society.

Landon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed playing sports and hunting. He was an integral part of his community and enjoyed spending time with his loving family and many friends.

A deeply spiritual person, Landon enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Valerie.

Landon is survived by his wife of 6 years, Angela McGary; one son, Aidan McGary of the home; his father, David and his wife, Patty, of Belmont, Ohio; two brothers, Darin McGary of Lafferty, Ohio, Shelby Mc Gary and his wife, Julie, of Flushing; two step-brothers Scott Myers of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Michael Myers and his wife, Pria, of St. Clairsville; two nephews Tyler and Jeremy and one niece, Sarah.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at St. John’s Catholic Church. Father Larry Lomonaco will officiate. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Flushing, Ohio.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aidan McGary Scholarship Fund, C/O Wenzel and Wenzel Attorneys at Law, 166 Branner Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
