Bridgeport man killed in accident

A BRIDGEPORT-area man lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, at 1:45 p.m., on Ohio 647 and Belmont 22 in Pease Township.
Thomas J. Stanton, 36, of 70887 Santos Drive, Bridgeport, was driving a 2008 Harley 1540 eastbound when he lost control. According to the report, the vehicle went onto its left side, slid through the intersection and struck a curb. The driver and passenger were both ejected.
Stanton and the passenger, Lisa L. Stanton, 33, of the same address, were taken to Wheeling Medical Park by the Martins Ferry Emergency Squad.
