The Times Leader will publish its annual health care tab on Sept. 23 to raise awareness and stress the importance to Belmont County residents of great health care in the area.
The publication will highlight local health care organizations and area hospitals from around the Ohio Valley including East Ohio Regional Hospital, Sonotone, Wheeling Hospital, Elmhurst, Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital, Belmont Community Hospital and Barnesville Hospital.
This past summer brought new practices to Wheeling Hospital, including a physician who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, and in more recent news, hospital administrators announced their new Center for Pediatrics, to ultimately provide infants, children and adolescents the best health care possible.
Barnesville Hospital has been concentrating on women's health and fitness issues and continues to take pride in being named one of the Top 100 Performance Improvement Hospitals in the nation in 2004.
Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital, the center for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and therapies, has recently hired on new staff and even purchased a Nintendo Wii for residents in need of recreational therapy.
