DAVIS, Stanley A., 75, of 625 South Fourth Street, Woodsfield, Ohio, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at his home.
He was born in Somerton, Ohio, on October 4, 1933, a son of the late Willam and Golda Saffell Davis.
He was a retired supervisor at the Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio; a U.S. Air Force veteran; a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2302, Woodsfield, Ohio; a member of the V.F.W. Post 5303, Woodsfield, Ohio; a member of the American Legion Post 0768, Beallsville, Ohio and a member and Trustee of the Loyal Order of Moose 2247, Woodsfield, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Merle Davis, Ralph Davis, Hillis Davis, Marvin Davis and Melvin Davis; three sisters, Inez Voohris, Dorothy Bunfill and Betty Phillips.
Surviving are his wife, Debby Kindall Davis; two daughters, Karen (Mark) Stegner of Columbus, Ohio and Kim Davis of Columbus; one son, Kevin Davis of Woodsfield, Ohio; one steson, Brandon Smith of Charleston, North Carolina; one brother, Roger Davis, of Cadiz, Ohio; one sister, Vivian Rorrer of Diamond, Ohio; four grandchildren, Luke Stegner, Ashley Stegner, Summer Davis and Karlie Davis.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
