Belmont County 4-H is Under Construction as it works towards Healthy LivingHealthy MembersHealthy Communities. The 2009 4-H year will get its jump start on Saturday, Feb. 7. 4-H'ers, parents and volunteers will have the opportunity to share in the celebration of achievements by youth as awards are presented. Participants will then have the opportunity to build on their knowledge base as they gather new information from experienced 4-H members, volunteers, various OSU Extension Staff and State Specialists.
Healthy LivingHealthy MembersHealthy Communities is the theme of this year's event. A grant from the Ohio 4-H Foundation has enabled participants to each receive a free Pilates resistance band as OSU Extension promotes healthy lifestyles. Anna Pishner Harsh, a registered pilates instructor, of Allegro Dance Company will conduct a special group session instructing participants on how to use their resistance bands.
