State Science Day

KATHRYN WHINNERY of St. Clairsville Middle School was one of only a few area students who returned from the annnual State Science Day at The Ohio State University with a “Superior” rating in May. Whinnery’s project, “Potential Energy of Peanuts as Related to Fat Content,” was among 1,200 projects entered. She represented District 16, competing on the regional level at the district competition held at Belmont Technical College earlier in the school year. Fellow St. Clairsville Middle School student Kylee Laurine received at “Excellent” rating for her project at the State Science Day.
