Couple found dead

• Police believe husband shot wife, killed self

POSTED: July 24, 2009

A BETHESDA-area man and his wife are dead following an apparent murder-suicide which happened some time late Thursday at their home on Noon Road.

Belmont County Sheriff Fred Thompson identified the couple as Frank and Bonnie Koci. He said they both were 68-years-old.

According to Sheriff Thompson, it appears the husband shot the wife before shooting himself. He said the weapon has been recovered.

Earlier in the evening, deputies responded to the home on a domestic violence call. Thompson said deputies left the residence after the couple had calmed down.

Less than an hour later, a relative went to the couple's home and found both of them dead.

Thompson said the Belmont County coroner was called to the scene. He said the bodies were taken to the Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home in Bethesda.
