SAKSA, Helen A.

SAKSA, Helen A., 90, of St. Clairsville, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in Forest Hill Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.

She was born July 19, 1919, in Herrick, Ohio, a daughter of the late Thomas and Verona Husso Bakos.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the St. Francis Society of St. Clairsville, VFW Auxiliary of Colerain and the St. Clairsville Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Saksa and her brothers, Mike and Alex Bakos.

Surviving are three children, Elizabeth Azallion, Rose (Ron) Narolewski, Joseph (Paulette) Saksa, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, St. Clairsville, Thursday from noon until 1:30 p.m., followed by her funeral mass at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Thomas Chillog as celebrant. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
