OSU Extension in Belmont and Monroe Counties will be holding Master Gardener Training on Thursday evenings beginning in April. Separate trainings will be held in both St. Clairsville and Woodsfield.
The training will include topics pertaining to vegetable gardening, landscaping, pest control, wildlife nuisance problems and the OSU Master Gardening Program. There is a fee to cover program costs and the master gardener notebook. Also, in return, participants are expected to provide back 50 hours of volunteer service to the Master Gardener Program.
If interested in the program contact the Belmont County Extension Office at 740-695-1455 or the Monroe County Extension Office at 740-472-0810, so we can mail out the application materials. The materials must be returned by March 1st, so that interviews may be conducted beginning March 8th.
All Extension programs are available to clientele without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, gender, age, disability or Vietnam-era veteran status.
