FROHNAPFEL, Raymond Sr., 86, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday, January 23, 2010.
He was born in St. Louis, MO on January 26, 1923, son of the late Joseph R. and Bertha (Fox) Frohnapfel.
Ray was a retired employee at the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of Colerain, Ohio; Disabled American Veterans, SOARS, and the Wheeling and Colerain Senior Citizens. Ray served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Leona Wilson; brother, Robert Frohnapfel; and grandson, Bradley Frohnapfel.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, June (Jones) Frohnapfel; son, Raymond (Chris) Frohnapfel, Jr., Parkville, MO; daughter, Sandy (Ken) Fogle, Martins Ferry; daughter, Penny (Bruce) Shane, St. Clairsville, Ohio; two sisters. Mary Lou Hawkins, South Hills, Pa; Linda Evans, Panama City, FL; brother, Edward Frohnapfel, Martins Ferry, Ohio; six grandchildren, Wendy (Larry) Hanasky; Karen Fogle; Carrie (Shawn) Kunes; K.C. (Lashawnda) Fogle; Jason (Gina) Shane; Kellen Shane; seven great-grand children, Madison Fogle; Taylor and Kyle Fogle; Gianna and Luca Shane; Sloan and Landen Hanasky;
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Liturgy with Mass at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain, Ohio at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 with Msgr. John Kolesar as celebrant.
Mausoleum entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
