DeMarco retired from practice on July 31. He has been a well-known dentist in the Ohio Valley, practicing here since the early 1970s when he returned following two years in the Army. A graduate of Marshall University and The Ohio State University, DeMarco first began his dentistry work in Bellaire before moving his practice to St. Clairsville.
"I do plan on continuing to provide an excellent level of care to the patients of the Ohio Valley as John has done for 30-plus years of service to his community," Pentino said.
It was through his wife, Shaye Pentino, that Pentino and DeMarco met.
Shaye Pentino is a St. Clairsville native whose childhood dentist was DeMarco.
Pentino is a member of the West Virginia Dental Association, Wheeling Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the Seattle Study Club. He practices general dentistry on children and adults, which includes dental cleanings, check-ups, fillings, x-rays, root canals, dentures and partials, as well as implant surgery.
Pentino will continue the practice at its current location with the same staff that has worked for DeMarco and said that he not only looks forward to providing for the dental needs of DeMarco's patients, but also new patients, too.
