BETHESDA - Dale and Lori Russell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Aug. 27. They were united in marriage in Dennison on Aug. 27, 1960.
Russell is the son of the late Edison and Veda Russell of Bethesda. His wife, Lori, is the daughter of Rita Besozzi and the late Mauro Besozzi of Morristown.
They are the parents of three daughters: Cathy (Willard Smith) of Cardington, Ohio; Patty (David Bishop) of Columbus and Brenda (Rick Bailey) of Bethesda; five grandchildren: Jamie and Kelly Bishop, Jacob and Josef Bailey and Angela Sisson; and one great-great granddaughter, Breanna Stidum.
A family gathering was held at Salt Fork State Park and the neighbor's surprised the couple with a celebration at a block party at the couple's home.
