MARTINS FERRY - Gary and Kathy Orban are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, Sept. 12. They were united in marriage, Sept. 12, 1970 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiltonsville.
Orban is the son of Jack and Etta Orban of Tiltonsville and is a steelworker for Severstal, Yorkville Plant, where he has been employed for 40 years. His wife, Kathy, is the daughter of the late Gabriel and Katherine George, also of Tiltonsville and currently works at Wesbanco in Wheeling, where she has been employed for 25 years.
They are the parents of three children and five grandchildren. Tiffany Porter and her husband, J.R. of Belmont, and their children, Sydney, Austin and Luke; Hillary Chawla and her husband, Steve, of Hilliard, Ohio and their children, Alex and Marley; and their son, Gary Orban Jr., of Columbus.
A family celebration is being held today in their honor.
