Jenna Beadle of Jewett is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha at Ashland University. She is the daughter of Jeffery and Susan Beadle and is majoring in political science.

BREECI PECKENS, daughter of Doug and Judy Peckens of Yorkville, has been named to the Fall 2010 Dean's List at Duquesne University. She is a graduate student in the Mylan School of Pharmacy.

The Dean's List recognizes full-time students who have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, with no grade lower than a "C".

Jessica Ewing of Martins Ferry has made the Dean's List for the fall 2010 semester at West Virginia University with a 3.6 grade point average. Full time students must receive a grade point average of 3.5 or higher to qualify for this honor.

STEUBENVILLE-Franciscan University of Steubenville is pleased to announce that the students listed below from the Tri-State area were named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2010 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.5 GPA for their classes that semester and be enrolled in at least 15 credit hours.

The University commends these students for their superior academic achievement.

Claire M. LeMasters, daughter of William and Carol LeMasters of Shadyside, Ohio, has been named an Alden Scholar for the 2009-10 academic year at Allegheny College. A graduate of Saint John Central High School,LeMasters is a senior at Allegheny.

Alden Scholar awards are presented to students who maintained a grade point average of 3.2 or higher during the preceding academic year. The awards are named in honor of the Reverend Timothy Alden, Jr., who founded the College in 1815.

The 32nd oldest college in the nation, Allegheny College will celebrate its bicentennial in 2015. One of 40 colleges featured in Loren Pope's "Colleges that Change Lives," Allegheny is among only 16 percent of liberal arts colleges nationally that require independent research and/or original creative work of all graduates.

The national liberal arts college where 2,100 students with unusual combinations of interests and talents develop highly valued abilities to explore critical issues from multiple perspectives.

Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for second semester 2010-2011 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.

Miami University awarded 795 degrees to students during fall commencement exercises Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, in Millett Hall.

Miami University is a public university located in southwest Ohio offering more than 100 degree programs in humanities, science, engineering, business, education and fine arts.

Adam Wayne Cisler of Beallsville received a Mstr Gerontological Studies degree .

Sarah Elizabeth Mayher of Bloomingdale received a Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude.

Leah Wrae West of Scio received a B.S. in Engineering degree.

Megan Haley Murphy of Saint Clairsville was named to the Miami University president's list.

Miami University students who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average for first semester 2010-11 have been named to the president's list recognizing academic excellence.

Miami University is a public university located in southwest Ohio offering more than 100 degree programs in humanities, science, engineering, business, education and fine arts.

BRENT MILOVAC has been named to the University of Pittsburgh Dean's List for the fall semester. He is the son of Paul and Kristi Milovac and is a 2010 graduate of Bellaire High School. He will be attending the university's school of pharmacy in 2012.

Amanda Piccolini of Saint Clairsville, OH, a senior Advertising major, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2010 semester in the College of Business Administration at Rider University.

Ryan Seneff, a 2010 graduate of Barnesville High School, was named to the dean's list at Duke University for the Fall 2010 semester. To make the Arts & Sciences dean's list, students must rank in the top third of their college. Ryan is the son of Beth and Kurt Seneff of Barnesville. He has not yet declared a major; however, his studies are currently focused on Russian and Linguistics.
