ST. CLAIRSVILLE Philadelphia-based Dietz & Watson, a preparer and international distributor of premium deli meats and artisan cheeses, this past week announced that it has inked a deal with the St. Clairsville-based Riesbeck's Food Market chain to carry the full variety of Dietz & Watson items in 10 of their stores.

Rich Wright, vice president, sales and marketing for Dietz & Watson, said he couldn't be more pleased with the new partnership.

"Riesbeck's and Dietz & Watson actually have a lot in common, so we're a natural fit," said Wright. "We both operate with a philosophy that has made our companies great for more than seven decades. We are committed to consistently delivering the very best quality to our customers - never taking any shortcuts."

Dietz & Watson offers deli-fresh beef, pork, ham, turkey breast, chicken breast and cheeses, more than two dozen varieties of franks and sausages, a full line of deli thin-sliced, resealable packaged meats and cheeses, and a line of deli compliments.

"We are very pleased to offer our customers Dietz & Watson products," said Scott Carnes, deli food service director for Riesbeck's. "Partnering with a premium brand such as Dietz & Watson exemplifies our practice of offering the best quality products in our market area."

A family owned business since 1939, Dietz & Watson firmly believes that its meat delicacies and cheeses are superior to all others in the marketplace. They are prepared from recipes that demand the freshest, leanest, hand-trimmed beef, pork, ham, turkey breast and chicken breast. Only the freshest, all-natural spices and seasonings are added. Dietz& Watson never uses artificial flavors, colors or fillers, and never any MSG. The Dietz & Watson items Riesbeck's carries are all gluten-free.

Dietz & Watson was founded in 1939 by Gottlieb Dietz, a talented young German sausage maker. His primary goal was to produce the most flavorful, highest quality deli meats in the marketplace, to please even the most discriminating palate, using his old-world recipes and commitment to "quality above all." Today at Dietz & Watson, the third generation of the family continues Gottlieb Dietz's dedication and commitment in preparing Premium Deli Meats and Artisan Cheeses.

Riesbeck's operates 16 locations serving customers in seven counties in Ohio and West Virginia and has more than 1,200 employees. Additional information on Riesbeck's and the ability to shop for more can be found at www.riesbeckfoods.com.
