WHEELING Wheeling Jesuit University's Campus Activities Board has lots of great music in store for its students this fall as they begin the school year with a new series, "Friday Night Live In the Ratt."
Open to the public, the series features contemporary bands and individual artists every Friday night during the school year, beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2. Held in the student Rathskeller or Ratt, as it is more commonly called, it's a perfect chill-out atmosphere.
"Each Friday, we'll be hosting a band or comedian in the Ratt for our students to enjoy. But we want to invite any music lover to stop and enjoy our Friday Night Live shows," said Rob Kulpa, director of Student Life. In addition, the University will host an open mic night open to the Wheeling Community on the third Thursday of every month.
Guests must be 18 or older to visit the Ratt, since legal beverages are sold. Other refreshments are on hand, including snacks.
