Times Leader

Frank Addington, Jr. of Winfield, West Virginia will be performing instinctive archery exhibitions August 20 and 21 at the Wheeling Cabela's store during their Fall Great Outdoor Days.

Addington, 44, of Winfield, West Virginia has been shooting a bow and arrow over 40 years and on stage performing for 26 years. His parents are both well known in the retail archery business in West Virginia and are both in the West Virginia Bowhunter Hall of Fame. Addington is a protg of the late Rev. Stacy Groscup of Morgantown, WV and typically performs about 30 major appearances at sports shows and related events across the United States.

Addington's show features him doing amazing aerial archery shots including multiple arrow shots, multiple target shots, and recently Addington even shot 12 arrows at once.. all of these shots done with his bow behind his back! The grand finale of this show is a baby aspirin shot from mid air from behind the back!

Addington says, "I wanted to make a mark on the sport I love and develop a unique show that would entertain people and inspire the next generation to explore archery and other outdoor pursuits. My show has gotten lots of attention coast to coast. I stress the importance of getting outdoors with your family and living a drug free life."

You can see Addington's performances this weekend during the following times:

Saturday, August 20 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Sunday, August 21 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

There will also be a meet and greet after each show. Addington last performed in the Wheeling area in the early 1990's at shows the late Milt Gutman lined up in area schools and at the Linsley Academy during the Chemical People week. He resides in Winfield, WV with his wife Amanda and son. Frank and Amanda are both graduates of Marshall University.

Addington's show is an amazing display of bow and arrow razzle dazzle the whole family will enjoy. See for yourself why Ted Nugent dubbed Addington, "..the master".
