Kokiko: 45th wedding anniversary

Harrisville-Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kokiko Jr. celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 17. They were united in marriage Sept. 17, 1966, at the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Douglas Pomeroy officiating the ceremony.

Kokiko is the son of the late Olga and Charles Kokiko Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy and is retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel at the Martins Ferry Plant. He is currently a Mount Pleasant Township trustee. His wife, Shirley, is the daughter of the late Emma and William Harr Sr. She was a former supervisor of Bobby Brooks Garment Co. formerly in Bellaire.

They are the parents of three children: Chuck and his wife, Angel, of Harrisville; Krista Kinyo and her husband, Ken, of Harrisville; and Kristal of Sterling, Va. They also have four grandchildren: Kaydence and Kamden Kinyo and Noah and Dominic Kokiko.

The couple was honored at a family celebration followed by a trip to Niagara Falls.
