Times Leader

STEUBENVILLE - Join Mystery Theatre Unlimited this Saturday evening for a performance of its hilarious original show "The Strange Case of Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hype" at Froehlich's Classic Corner at 501 Washington Street, Steubenville starting at 7 p.m. Seating starts at 6:30 p.m.

Call Froehlich's Classic Corner now at 740-283-9901 to make reservations for this unique evening.

"It's a great way to celebrate early in the evening and then have your options open for the rest of the night," noted Classic Corner owner Greg Froehlich. "You can eat a great meal, see a wonderful interactive comedy show and then you can either go to a party, go home or bring in the new year at Froehlich's where we have live musical entertainment from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m."

In the show, which is set in 1888 London, Holmes (played by Maxwell) and Watson (portrayed by Furioli) are determined to capture the notorious serial killer Jack the Ripper. The chase leads them to the laboratory of a strange researcher, Dr. Henry Jackal (played by Michael Moran). Jackal, with his sinister hunch-backed assistant, Ratso (portrayed by Ryan Sears), is trying to develop a formula to cure Jackal's patient. That patient, Prudence (played by Renee Zalenski), suffers from a bizarre multiple personality disorder, but is far more concerned with marrying the doctor.

The ensuing investigation leads to hilarious but deadly complications with personality switches, mistaken identities and some delightful musical interludes.

The price includes an elegant dinner, non-alcoholic beverage, dessert, tax, gratuity and the show itself, along with live entertainment all night long in the dining room with no cover charge. In the dining room, children under 10 years old eat free from the Kids' Menu. To make reservations or for more information, call Froehlich's Classic Corner at 740-283-9901.

Mystery theatre offers private parties year 'round. Call 304-242-7828 for details.
