THIS Navy Patrol Bomber weighing 40,000 pounds was placed into service during World War II. According to the post card, "This Battleship of the Air can patrol in 2-1/2 hours a distance which would require a destroyer 24 hours to cover." Air travel isn't the only thing that has changed as news also has been affected. A message on the card, apparently from a serviceman, noted that he had been reading the Shadyside briefs and saw the card's recipient had been on a fishing trip. Submitted by Nick Yonyon.
