MARTINS FERRY - Karen and Drew Brown will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Jan. 22. They were united in marriage on Jan. 22, 1972 at the First Methodist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Brown is the son of the late Mary Ellen and Andrew Brown of Martins Ferry. He recently retired from The Citizens Bank of Martins Ferry. His wife, Karen, is the daughter of the late Eleanor and Ray Dryden of Stillwater, Oklahoma. She is employed by Gompers, McCarthy and McClure Law Office in Wheeling and is the organist and bell choir director for the First Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry.
They are the parents of three children: Jennifer Blake of Martins Ferry, Paul Brown and his wife, Natalie, reside in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Tim Brown and his wife, Shannon, reside in Bridgeport; five grandchildren: Erica and Ricky Blake of Martins Ferry, Noah Brown of Pittsburgh and Brooklyn and Ava Brown of Bridgeport.
