HODGSON, John Byron, 70, of Barnesville, formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Tuesday February 28, 2012 at Barnesville Health Care Center.
He was born in Wheeling, W.Va., on September 2, 1941, a son of the late Robert and Careene Davis Hodgson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Hodgson and a sister, Madeline Hodgson.
John is survived by his wife, Garnet Kay Cornell Hodgson, a son, Michael Hodgson, daughter, Joyce Smith, both of Wheeling, a daughter, Cynthia Thomas of Bridgeport, and a grandson, Matthew Smith.
Friends will be received at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, OH, Friday March 2, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. James Hoff, officiating.
Interment at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
