As recently reported in the local newspaper, thousands of excited job seekers converged at the Ohio Valley Mall for the sixth annual Ohio Valley Job Fair. There are strong indications that this year's event held on April 3, could very well prove to be perhaps the most successful to date.
As a result, I would like to compliment Belmont County Connections (who planned and orchestrated the event), the Ohio Valley Mall (who housed the event), and all those who contributed to the success of this very admirable and worthwhile endeavor.
Locating the Job Fair to the Ohio Valley Mall, I feel, was a wise decision which will in itself further enhance its potential for even greater success.
I would also like to commend Job Fair officials for their outstanding efforts in informing the public regarding the particulars of the activity, with virtually all advertising outlets utilized extremely well.
In addition, kudos, to Belmont County Connections (the county's one stop employment and training center) also for their efforts in "getting the word out" regarding available services provided by their entity.
The staff of Belmont County Connections provides services to the job seeker and employer alike of a very professional nature and assists in a very helpful, friendly manner.
Finally, I would like to request that consideration be given for possibly a second job fair this year, possibly in the fall, as the need for another such event is great as the economic future of the area grows even more encouraging.
