WOODSFIELD - The Monroe County commissioners plan to decide Monday, May 7, about up to three proposed projects to receive 2012 Community Development Block Grant Formula Grant funds.
Available for up to three projects will be $102,100.
The county's Fiscal Year formula grant allocation for 2012 is $69,000, and $55,000 is earmarked from the county's Revolving Loan Fund for the projects. Subtracted from that total of $124,000 are the Neighborhood Revitalization match of $10,000 and administration and Fair Housing costs amounting to $11,900.
Funds are being sought for 15 projects, including infrastructure work, equipment for fire departments/emergency squads and improvements to community or senior centers.
The total amount of the requested funds is $266,900.
Seven projects including those for Stafford, Perry Township, Salem Township, Summit Township, the Switzer Water Association, Midway Community Center and the Monroe County Senior Center include in-kind matches amounting to $52,540, bringing the total cost of the 15 projects to $319,440.
The in-kind matches range from $340 to $31,900.
