Keyser pleads guilty after car chase

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Brandon Lee Keyser, 22, 215 Kenney Street, Wheeling, appeared before Judge John M. Solovan II Friday and pleaded guilty to failure to comply with the orders or signal of a police officer and of willfully fleeing and eluding in a vehicle, a felony of the third degree, and of preparing more than 200 grams of marijuana for shipment, a felony of the fourth degree, both occurring Feb. 12. Sentencing was set for June 8. A drug and alcohol evaluation, EOCC evaluation, and victim impact statement was ordered.

The crime occurred in Martins Ferry where Keyser led police on a chase that resulted in property damage with about six cars struck during the flight. No personal injuries were reported.
