Bellaire tuned up for Division III sectional tournament action Tuesday night with a 2-0 blanking of homestanding River, 2-0, in girls' softball action in Sardis.
Megan Ging fired a three-hitter that featured eight strikeouts and a walk. She also singled in an insurance run in the seventh inning.
The other Big Reds (11-12) tally came on a Mackenzie Conroy groundout in the second inning.
The Pilots (18-8) managed just three singles. They travel to Woodsfield Thursday to meet Monroe Central in a makeup game at 5 p.m.

At Morristown, the Jets (12-14) rebounded from a loss Monday to roll past the visiting Warriors (5-16) on Lady Jets Field.
Brittany Stack singled twice and doubled to account for three RBI. Amanda Swallie also knocked in three runs with a trio of one-base raps. Caitlyn Sliva singled twice and doubled, while Alexis Brahler singled and tripled to plate a run. Kaylie Cole singled in a run and Ashten Butler recorded an RBI.
Ali Bethel struck out four and walked two in tossing a three-hitter.

Monroe Central 6
At Woodsfield, Shenandoah's Sarah Sickle singled home the game-winning run in the top of the eighth.
Sickle finished with a double and two singles. Leah Hill hammerd a home run, triple and double, good for three runs batted in.
Monroe's Asia Prickett pounded a single, double and triple, driving in a pair. Cameron Brock belted two singles, knocking in a pair. Kelsey Parks contributed a single and run batted in.
Now 8-9, the Lady Noles were scheduled to host Beallsville this afternoon.

At Wheeling, Sarah Johnson hurled her first career no-hitter as the Cadets blanked the visitors on Holloway Field.
Johnson struck out five and walked one.
Emma Cecil singled and homered the the Cadets (8-13). Ava Tennant had a double, triple and run batted in.
