THORNVILLE, Ohio - The nation's most renowned Grateful Dead tribute band - Dark Star Orchestra - will be shaking things up in Ohio on Labor Day weekend with a three-night musical extravaganza at the Legend Valley Music Center.
The Dark Star Jubilee will celebrate the end of summer with a musical extravaganza Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, featuring three nights of music by Dark Star Orchestra, along with a who's who of spectacular live acts representing many genres of music. Three members of the Grateful Dead will also be on hand during the festival with their own projects and touring bands.
There will be multiple stages with more than 20 bands delivering nearly 40 hours of music with no overlapping sets.

In addition to Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) - the bill also includes the Mickey Hart Band, 7 Walkers featuring Bill Kreutzmann and the Donna Jean Godchaux Band with Jeff Mattson.
If the original Grateful Dead alumni weren't enough, the bill also includes the great Keller Williams, Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna fame, The Infamous Stringdusters, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Donna the Buffalo, Perpetual Groove, Boombox, Cornmeal (two sets), Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, David Gans, Jahman Brahman, Rumpke Mountain Boys (two sets), The Spikedrivers and more bands to be announced.
Dark Star Orchestra has established its reputation as the nation's premier Grateful Dead tribute band, not only delivering dead-on performances of the Dead's songs, but actually recreating in their entirety Grateful Dead shows from the past.
The spirit of the Grateful Dead will come to life at Ohio's only outdoor concert venue where the iconic band made consistent stops in the late '80s and early '90s - Legend Valley, also known then as Buckeye Lake Music Center.

For those interested in a VIP experience at the festival, Rising Star festival passes are available, which include access to a private entrance into the festival grounds, camping next to your vehicle, close proximity to the stages, as well as a Rising Star goodie bag.
Children ages 12 and under will be admitted for free. The Jubilee will have designated camping areas for ADA access, for families and for those wishing for a quieter camping experience. For adults and children over 12, general admission to the festival, parking in a separate designated area and admission to on-site camping will be included in the three-day ticket price.
