TUESDAY?AFTERNOON a swarm of bees, looking for a new place of residence, selected the Martins Ferry City Building as their new home, setting up shop near the top of the structure. Development Director Kathy Gagan and Code Administrator Betty Suto first noticed the swarm when remarking it looked like “brown snow” when they glanced out the window. Gagan began calling up any available bee keeper in the area who could come and help assist with the new city residents. She managed to get a hold of Brian Roth of Wheeling. Roth came over, put his bee suit on and, with the assistance of Ladder 1 from the Martins Ferry Fire Department, was able to suck the bees out safely to be transported.
