PACK, Elizabeth (Libby) Ann Armantrout

May 18, 2012
Times Leader

PACK, Elizabeth (Libby) Ann Armantrout, 56, of St. Clairsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 17, 2012. She passed in her home surrounded by her loving family. Libby was born on February 24, 1956 in Mullens, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Emma Armantrout of Phoenix, Arizona, and Raymond and Eva Armantrout of Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

Libby's battle was against ovarian cancer, but her victory was in the Lord. She used her story as a testimony and her struggle as way to spread the Word. Doctors and nurses, hospitals and clinics, friends, family, and fellow patients ... they were all her mission field. She saw each obstacle as an opportunity - a chance to share her faith, a moment to witness and show love toward another, or a time to give thanks to the One who blessed her last 56 years. Those who knew Libby will remember the strength of her faith and the power of her hugs. They will remember the love she had for her husband and the dedication she had to her family. She will be remembered for having a fun-loving spirit, a servant's heart, and a passion for life that could only come from following Christ.

Libby was a member of The East Richland Evangelical Friends Church for 42 years. She served as ERC church administrator and secretary, ERC school board member, NCA physical education teacher, pioneer clubs leader, and bible school teacher. She was the devoted wife of Gerald (Jerry) F. Pack Jr., for 37 years, the loving mother of four children, and the proud MawMaw to seven grand children.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Jessica A. Gordon (Mark) of Pickerington, and sons: Gerald (JP) A. Pack (Pam) of St. C, Jason E. Pack of St. C, and Justin W. Pack (Jessica) of St. C; Grandchildren: Ethan Salman, Faith Perry- Gordon, and Elijah Gordon (Pickerington), Rylee and Reid Pack (St. C), and Jaydon and Jaxson Pack (St. C). Siblings: Raymond E. Armantrout (St. C), Karen Filburn (Bart) of St. C., Brian Billings (Shirley) of Pt. Pleasant, Brent Billings (Lori) of Point Pleasant, Jean Ann Jefferies (Avory) of Pt Pleasant, and Duke Armantrout of Pt. Pleasant.

Friends and family will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, May 20 at East Richland Evangelical Friends Church, 67885 Friends Church Road, St. Clairsville, OH. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Richland Christian Schools.

Arrangements by Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
