What number do you wear and why? 15 because it was Derek Hoffman's and it was also Justin Sabo's number in high school, and he has helped me work hard in the weight room.

What is your cell phone ring tone? Wiz Khalifa- The Cruise.

How many texts do you send/receive per month? I dont have enough fingers to count.

What is your favorite hobby in your spare time? Wiffle Ball, hanging out with V, Grizzly, and Pantz, and making mac n cheese with Zuke.

Favorite memory in your sport, and why? Attending the Perfect Game Showcase, Playing in Cooperstown when I was 12. And going to Regionals back to back.

What's something no one would believe about you? I love to listen to Salsa music.

Favorite Athlete, and why? Curtis Granderson because he is a prime example on how to act on and off the field.

Best advice you've ever received? "When you want to succeed as bad you want to breathe, then you'll be successful."

Who do you admire most, and why? My mom, because I love her and I am very blessed to have her. My dad for always remaining optimistic and positive in life. And my brother Adam because he is always there for me. I look up to him and always have, not only is he my brother or coach but he is my best friend for life.

What's your favorite part of your sport? Baseball can always relate to life situations...Baseball IS Life.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Living in New York City working at a ballpark on the grounds crew or continuing my baseball career.

CREDENTIALS: Sam pitched a one hitter and fanned 15 in the Red Devils' Division III District Championship victory against Tusky Valley last week.
