MILLER, Helen Irene, 74 of Shadyside, OH, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Wheeling Hospital.
She was born October 25, 1937 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Hayes and Alice Donley Conaway.
She was retired from the Bobby Brooks Garment Factory in Bellaire and also the Times Leader in Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Jo Nieman, two brothers, George Conaway and Kenneth Conaway and four sisters, Martha Mortakis, Lorraine McGlothlan, Mary Hughes and Virginia Hinzey.
Surviving are her husband of nearly 55 years, Wilbert Miller of Shadyside, one son, James (Loretta) Miller of Shadyside, one daughter, Pamela (Tracy) Watson of Shadyside, two brothers, Carl Conaway of Martins Ferry and Bill Conaway of Bethlehem and one sister, Jean Delelles of Martins Ferry. Also nine grandchildren, Jamie (Carl) Honeywell of Bellaire, Kelly (Brian) Young of Brilliant, Kristen (Brent) Volan of Cadiz, Billy Nieman of Yorkville, Lisa Miller of Bellaire, Kayla Miller of Shadyside, Amber Watson of Shadyside, Ashley Watson of Shadyside and J.W. Miller of Shadyside: 10 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Madison and Lillianna Miller of Bellaire, Caden, Jalob and Isabella Honeywell of Bellaire, Kalyn and Mason Young of Brilliant, Bryden Volan of Cadiz and Karsyn Bundock and and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauk necht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Fr. Samuel R. Saprano officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.
