BRILL, Linda Kay, 64, of Roanoke, VA., went to be with her Lord and savior Wednesday, May 23, 2012 with her loving sister by her side.
Linda was born on June 27, 1947 to the late John K. Brill and Naoma Hartley Brill in Barnesville OH. Surviving Linda is her sister, Jayne Brill of Roanoke, and special cousin, Londa Baird of Cambridge, OH.
Before moving to Roanoke from Ohio more than 15 years ago, Linda worked for 25 years at Broughton's Food Company in Ohio.
Since moving to Roanoke, Linda was a very active member of Life Church in Roanoke where she was a coordinator of the intercessory prayer ministry.
Also grieving her loss are Linda's special feline friends, Lily and Baxter, who filled her life with joy and companionship.
Though small in stature, Linda had a huge heart and giving spirit. She loved her flower gardens, her jigsaw puzzles, and her cats. She was a shy person who had no trouble expressing her opinion when necessary.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Fresenius Centers at Friendship Manor and Crystal Spring Dialysis as well as the Friendship Manor Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy.
In lieu of flowers, Linda has requested that donations be made to Angels of Assisi, 415 Campbell Ave. SW, Roanoke, Va. 24019, or to Life Church, 7422 Deer Branch Rd. Roanoke, Va. 24019.
A Memorial Service was held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Life Church, with the Rev. Joe Copolo officiating.
Graveside services will be held at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City, OH Friday, June 8, 2012 at 1 p.m.
The family will receive friends after the service at The Church of Faith, Salesvill, OH, for a time of rememberence and fellowship.
Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel.
